About
Hello! I’m Ela, a ceramicist based in Malmö, Sweden. My focus is on stoneware clay, and I hand-throw each piece on the potter’s wheel. I’m passionate about creating functional ceramics, drawing inspiration from minimalistic shapes and Japanese pottery, all with a contemporary twist.
My journey into ceramics began a few years ago while I was living in Barcelona. There was a studio in Raval, right across from my friend's house, that always caught my eye. One day, I decided to walk in and inquire about taking a class. At the time, I was working in an office and yearning for a creative outlet. After just one class, I was hooked! I eventually made the leap to quit my job, move to Sweden, and pursue my dream of becoming a full-time ceramicist.
You can visit me at my studio on Höstgatan 37 in Malmö. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out at hej.elagrima@gmail.com.
