Join me for a hands-on, beginner-friendly pottery session where you’ll create a one-of-a-kind cup using the kurinuki technique – a traditional Japanese method of carving a vessel from a solid block of clay. It’s a wonderfully meditative and intuitive way to work with clay, perfect for those who enjoy slow, intentional crafting.
Over the course of this approximately 2 hour class, you’ll shape and carve your own cup, letting the form emerge as you go. Once your piece has dried and been fired, I’ll glaze it in your chosen color from a curated selection and fire it again. Your finished cup will be ready to collect in about 4–5 weeks.
